In a Nutshell
Working hard and enjoying life should not be mutually exclusive. We sponsor a number of employee resource groups, time-off programs, and community-building moments to help you feel connect while at work, and feel empowered to unplug while you are away.
Collective Community
Our people are what make Collective Health the unique place that it is. We want to highlight the people, events, groups, resources, and programs that make this place an awesome place to be.
Collective Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Collective Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are employee-driven groups that bring people with shared backgrounds and experiences together to build our community. ERGs positively influence our culture, promote inclusion, and support our company values. Examples of ERGs include Collective Pride, The Black Collective, Collective Comunidad, and Collective Women.
Any full-time employee can found an ERG. Each ERG is approved by the People Ops team and sponsored and funded by a Collective Health executive.
Time Off
We designed our Time Off Program to support wellness at every stage in your life with us, while reinforcing a culture of personal accountability and commitment. Our program is also designed for ease of use and understandability.
How It Works
Below is an overview of the different types of leave. If you're a current employee and would like more detailed information about our Time Off Program, click the button below.
Paid Holidays
We all need days to unwind and to celebrate. We offer paid holidays that are most commonly honored in the US so that you’ll have the opportunity to unplug and spend the time off with friends and family.
Paid Sick Days
Exempt employees are provided with Paid Sick Days to address personal and familial needs related to incidental health issues. We provide five days upfront (or whatever number of days your locality requires by law), so they’re available to you as soon as you need them.
Non-exempt employees are provided with time off for Sick/Safe Time purposes under Collective Health’s Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
Flexible Time Off
Paid Time Off
Exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO). We're flexible about vacation time, and as a baseline, expect you to take 20 days per year of service. This flexibility enables you and your manager to plan time off that works best for both you and our business.
Non-exempt employees are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) for such needs as vacation, personal and/or family incidental illnesses, doctor appointments, personal errands, volunteerism, and other activities of your choice. Eligible employees begin accruing PTO upon commencement of employment.
Leaves of Absence
Sabbatical
Sometimes you need extra time off for specific situations. To ensure you have the time you need, we also offer:
- Bereavement Leave
- Jury Duty & Witness Leave
- Pregnancy Leave
- Baby-Bonding Leave
- Personal Medical Leave
- Dependent Care Leave
- Military Leave
- Any additional legally protected leaves
A sabbatical is an opportunity, separate from standard Time Off, for employees to enjoy an extended period of time away from work to rejuvenate and then return back to work revitalized with fresh ideas and new perspectives. All full-time employees are eligible to take a paid 4-week sabbatical after 5 continuous years of work (and again after each subsequent 5 continuous years of work).
New Parent Resources
We understand the many demands of being a new parent. Our goal is to ensure planning time away from work is as simple as possible, and that you and your family have easy access to all your benefits.
